Below are listed the Honours, Decorations, Awards and Medals held in trust by Viscount Montgomery of El Alamein, son of Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of El Alamein. These decorations are on permanent loan to the Imperial War Museum, with the exception of the insignia of the Order of the Garter, which were returned to the Monarch on his death.

Special Note: The ribbons worn on his standard battle-dress varied throughout the course of the war and were very much dependant on the whim of his batman, if rumours are true! Many of his awards are of such high order that they are never worn as a 'medal' but rather as a neck ribbon with pendant or as a Breast Star or badge. Some of his foreign Orders and Awards are currently not recognised in the British 'Order Of Wear' and consequently would never appear on his uniform.
